Formulation Chemist

CAS-MI Laboratories is seeking a coatings technologist who will be responsible for conducting formulation work in developing unique polymer products including coatings, adhesives, and sealants.

Responsibilities include: formulation development and conducting physical testing of all types of polymer based products, including coatings, plastics and polymers. A minimum of a B.S. degree in chemistry or other related discipline and zero to five plus years of direct experience in coatings development are required. Knowledge of plastics testing and processing is a plus.

This position will have limited travel and is located in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Technical Manager

We are seeking a technical manager who will be responsible for serving as a technical and relationship champion for our client(s) by clarifying and managing client expectations regarding technical issues and initiatives.

Understand project scope and general technology activities performed by CAS-MI. And assist with client/distributor/customer complaints, opportunities for improvement and other client interactions for projects/clients when requested. Responsibilities include: project management, technical expertise, projects and customer interactions, communication, and leadership.

A minimum of a B. S. in chemistry, project or program management, experience with paints and coatings development or application and/or certification with at least five years of coatings industry experience are required. The candidate should be highly motivated, posses excellent interpersonal skills, and enjoy working in a team oriented, entrepreneurial company.
