Product Feasibility & Idea Generation

The first step of a new paint or coating product is idea generation and determining the project's feasibility.

However, before extensive discussions begin, we encourage our clients to submit a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). We understand the importance of confidentiality and want to protect the intellectual property of your new coating product.

The first detailed discussion with CAS-MI's coatings formulation scientist includes a collaborative brainstorming session. We listen to every detail of your proposed new paint, coating or adhesive product. To keep the creative juices flowing, we don't ask too many questions at this idea generation phase.

During the next step, idea definition, CAS-MI's experts gather information about your new coating idea including:

• Timeframe
• Possible raw materials
• Regulatory issues

Together we focus on a clear direction and begin to determine the feasibility of the new product. We then present a detailed proposal for the next steps of innovation: characterization and formulation/performance testing.
